Hi, I'm Luciana Ferreira!

I am a dog behaviour consultant

Feeling Lost, Overwhelmed by Your Dog's Behaviour?

Whether you've tried various approaches or this is your first dog, if you're feeling lost and overwhelmed by your dog's behaviour, you're in the right place. It's not your fault, and it's not your dog's fault.

The plan just wasn't the right fit. I'm here to offer a new path forward: one based on understanding, not frustration.

How I Can Help

The Most Effective Support Happens Right at Home

Many of the dogs I help are puppies, highly excitable, or sometimes stressed and reactive. Whether your dog is nervous around strangers or loves everyone a little too much, inviting a new person into their space can add extra arousal and make things harder for them—and for you.

Working online means your dog stays comfortable in their familiar environment, allowing me to see their true behaviour patterns and help you both without added stress.

We Build Skills Through Fun & Games

You don’t need to know anything about training. Instead of rigid methods, we use enjoyable games and activities where your dog naturally develops skills while having fun.

This approach builds confidence and strengthens your bond—no stress, no pressure, just progress. When learning is fun, both you and your dog feel more connected and successful.

About me

I Know How You Feel. I've Been There.

My journey to becoming a Dog Behaviour Consultant began with my own dog, Thor. I faced big challenges with him and felt completely lost, overwhelmed, and embarrassed. I tried different approaches, but things only seemed to get more difficult.

The turning point came when I stopped trying to "fix" his behaviour and started seeking to understand him. I dove deep into the science of why dogs do what they do, which led me to become a certified Family Dog Mediator and Applied Ethology professional.

I don't just bring professional qualifications to our sessions; I bring true empathy for what you're going through, both as a dog parent and for your dog. You're not alone in this journey.

My approach is to employ a science-Based training style by using the LEGS Model.

I will have a closer look at your pup’s:

  • L (learning): how he learns
  • E (environment): how he understands the world around him
  • G (genetics): the role of genetics in his behaviour
  • S (self): his physical and mental health
This way, we can connect the dots and find out why your dog might be displaying behaviours like excessive barking, aggression, resource guarding, separation anxiety or others unwanted behaviours.

My Training & Continuing Education

I believe in ongoing learning and professional development to give you and your dog the best possible support.

Here are some common behaviour concerns I can help with:

Loose lead walking

The main objective of loose-leash walking is for your dog to walk at a pace similar to yours

Excessive barking

Constant barking for extended periods without an apparent reason may indicate stress, boredom, fear, or unmet mental and physical needs

Jumping up

is a common way for dogs to get our attention. Your dog might jump up when they're excited to see you, but it could also be their way of expressing worry or concern about something

Separation anxiety

Dogs with separation anxiety experience stress and distress when left alone. They may exhibit behaviors such as excessive barking, destructive chewing, and accidents in the house
